Chopper 6 provided aerial footage, showing dense smoke billowing from Hill's luxurious mansion as firefighters tirelessly worked to douse the flames and strategically cut openings in parts of the roof. The response to the incident was substantial, with numerous firefighters and police officers from adjacent areas, including Davie Fire Rescue and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, arriving at the scene.

According to Davie Fire Rescue's Bob Taylor, the fire was confined primarily to the attic and roof, though extensive smoke damage was reported throughout the residence. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

At the time of the incident, Hill was engaged in practice with the Dolphins, away from the property. A spokesperson for the Dolphins confirmed that Hill had left the practice and assured that everyone in the house at the time of the fire was unharmed. Emotional footage showed Hill, dressed in a white T-shirt and dark sweatpants, returning to his residence and embracing his family members.

By around 3 p.m., the fire was reportedly under control, although significant damage, including a large hole in the roof, was visible.

Drew Rosenhaus, Hill's agent, expressed uncertainty regarding the family's ability to stay in the home that evening. He emphasized Hill's gratitude towards the firefighters for their efforts in saving his home.

Public records reveal that Hill acquired the mansion in 2022 for $6.9 million. The expansive 9,300-square-foot property boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a home theater, a full-size basketball court, a large pool, and two guest houses.

Hill, aged 29, joined the Miami Dolphins in 2022 after being traded from the Kansas City Chiefs. He recently signed a four-year contract extension with the Dolphins, valued at approximately $120 million.

Ahead of the Dolphins' Sunday night game against the Buffalo Bills, an injury report listed Hill with an ankle injury. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, upon learning about the fire, expressed relief that Hill's family was safe and conveyed his support.
